In 2024, lifelong friends Jamie Hopkins and Nina Peters founded One of a Kind Wellness, inspired by the success of their handmade soaps and oils among friends and family. Nina, born in 1978 in Appalachian Kentucky and raised in Dayton, Ohio, became a Certified Nurse in 1999 and a chiropractic assistant in 2015. After the tragic loss of her son to Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy, Nina's interest in homeopathic remedies grew, leading her to create natural soaps and oils. Her breast cancer survival in 2023 fueled her determination to offer chemical-free products for others. Jamie, born in 1983 in Dayton, met Nina at 14, and their bond deepened as their children became half-siblings. After earning a degree in physical science, Jamie worked in nursing homes before turning to natural healing following family cancer diagnoses. Jamie's father was diagnosed with Soft Tissue Sarcoma, and she dedicated herself to caring for him during his battle, further solidifying her passion for holistic healing. Through years of research, they developed a line of products using essential oils and natural herbs to treat skin ailments like eczema and psoriasis. One of a Kind Wellness offers beard oils, bar soaps, body butter, and feminine hygiene products like yoni soaps and oils.
